On February 20th, 2014 Ayala Consulting introduced the improved transfer deliveries to beneficiary households in Mangochi district. After an extensive training for the district officers, the teams went out to Chiponde village cluster. While before the cash transfer program delivered transfers to beneficiaries with or without program ID cards, and used manual transfer lists, now the transfer lists are generated through the program’s MIS and the improved transfer system only allows beneficiaries to collect their cash transfer with a bar-coded program ID, which is scanned at the point of transfer.
The introduction of this technology has significantly improved the time required to reconcile the transfer deliveries, increasing the efficiency in the implementation of the program at district level.
